We are also able to offer complete event support from simple racking hire to chip timing and complete transition management. Should you want to run an event but do not have the equipment please get in contact to discuss your requirements. In addition to this the club has two main sponsors: My Tri Coach are able to offer triathlon coaching at any level and Discovery Learning are able to train personal trainers to any level. Please take a look at their websites for details.
Our club was founded in 1990 by former Olympic cycling silver medalist Sir Norman Blair. We have seen more than a thousand different competitors take part in some of the many races we have held since that time. Most of them have hailed from Yorkshire, Cumbria and elsewhere in the North of England, though we’ve also had plenty from the Midlands, London and the rest of Southern England. We’ve even attracted a few people who have taken part in the world famous Ironman triathlon.
The goal of our club is to encapsulate the virtues that make cycling such a tremendous sport and exercise method: fun, work ethic, health consciousness, determination and fair play. Our events are open to people of all genders, races, ethnic groups and sexual orientations.
Kudu Bikes are able to supply all equipment required for the sport and do good club discounts so again please take a look at the website.
Sadly for 2010 we have had to stop some of our previous events. This is due to the fact that they were running at a loss as we never achieved a big enough field. Although the events did have a great following we had to make the decision to cancel them as they were impacting on our other events.
Thanks for your support and sorry if you have lost a favourite event but we look forward to a successful 2010 concentrating on the remaining events.
Good luck with your 2010 season.
